How to create your crew profile

This article describes how to create your crew profile.

Your Crew Profile appears in the MySail Connect crew search page and provides some information about you, your sailing skills and experience to other members.

If you are looking for new sailing opportunities, you definitely want to create and share a crew profile. It's like your CV / resume for sailing, so that the people recruiting crew know that you're interested, and what you can do.

It is important that your profile reflects your skills and experience as accurately as possible, so we can help connect you with the most well-suited sailing programs.

Here are a few tips...

How to Create a Crew Profile

To start creating your crew profile, log into MySail, click the Account Menu dropdown at the top right (where you see your name) and then select Crew Profile.

This will guide you through a 3-page process to create your profile.

Any fields marked with an * are required. The other fields are optional, but remember to provide as much information as possible to build a solid profile.

Once you've completed all three pages, click Save & Next on the third page to complete the process.

Congratulations! Your Crew Profile is now live. Other users will be able to find you on the MySail Connect search page and view your profile.

A couple of things to note:

  1. Where we ask for location, you only need to enter your city or suburb, state and country - this is to help other users know your general location.
  2. Where we ask for your date of birth, we will not share this with other users. This is used to determine your age which is represented in a standard age bracket (< 18 years, 18 - 25 years, 25 - 35 years, etc.)
